Visiting Tips

Accessibility

The museum and formal gardens provide barrier-free access. Wheelchairs and strollers are available at no charge at the Visitor Services Desk on a first come, first served basis. Private and special needs tours, as well as garden tours, can be arranged with three weeks prior reservations. Please contact 918-596-2767, or gilcrease-tours@utulsa.edu for information. To ensure availability of an interpreter, five to seven days notice is needed; 48 hours is recommended for all other accommodations.

Package Policy

The following items must be left at the Visitor Services Desk before entering the museum galleries: large purses and bags, backpacks, diaper bags, food and drink, and umbrellas.

Photography

No photography with cameras, video cameras or cell phones is allowed in the museum at any time. High quality reproductions of works in our collection are sold in the Museum Store.

Sketching

Sketching and note taking – in pencil only – is permitted in the permanent collection galleries. Drawing or writing materials should be rested on a hand-carried surface or the sketcher’s lap. Sketchers must remain at least 18 inches away from art and gallery walls.
