Description

Join us for a community weekend celebrating the life and work of Allan Houser. Activities will be held statewide at all museums and facilities celebrating the commemoration of Allan Houser's 100th birthday. Gilcrease Museum offers art activities, films, and an opportunity to engage with the exhibition one last time.

Saturday

10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.: Art activities in the Vista Room
Noon Film: Unconquered: Allan Houser and The Legacy of One Apache Family showing in the Tom Gilcrease Jr. Auditorium
Noon Music: Timothy and Calvert Nevaquaya, Comanche tribal members and sons of the late Doc Tate Nevaquaya, will perform Native flute music in the Houser exhibition space.
1:00 p.m.: Birthday cake in the Vista Room
1:30 p.m. Film: Allan Houser Haozous: The Lifetime Work of an American Master showing in the Tom Gilcrease Jr. Auditorium
