Description

Part of the exhibition, Bending, Weaving, Dancing: The Art of Woody Crumbo.

In addition to Woody Crumbo's many talents, one of his interests was prospecting for precious metals. With his friend and fellow artist, Max Evans, he discovered one of the largest beryllium ore deposits in the country.

To discuss Crumbo's discovery and prospecting, Claude Bolze, Professor of Geology from Tulsa Community College, will lead adults and children on a prospecting excursion down Highway 51 to hunt for rocks and fossils. Wear clothes that can get dirty. $15/members, $18/not-yet members. Fee includes needed equipment and water.
